How to Use

Master Simple Calculator: iOS Calc in minutes. Follow these steps to get the most out of the app.

1

Getting Started

Launch the app to enter the basic calculator. The display shows your input expression on top and the result below. Tap number buttons (0-9) to enter values, then tap an operator (+, −, ×, ÷) followed by another number, and press = to see the result.

2

Using Functions

AC / C — Tap AC to clear everything. After typing, it becomes C to clear only the current entry.
+/− — Toggle between positive and negative numbers.
% — Calculate percentages quickly (e.g., 200 × 10% = 20).

3

Switching to Scientific Mode

Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner and select "Scientific". The layout expands to reveal advanced functions including trigonometry, logarithms, powers, roots, and constants.

4

Degree / Radian Mode

In scientific mode, tap Rad to toggle between Radian and Degree mode. This affects how trigonometric functions (sin, cos, tan) interpret angle values. Rad appears when in Degree mode; tap to switch to Radians and the label updates.

5

Using 2ⁿᵈ Functions

Tap 2ⁿᵈ to access inverse trigonometric functions. sin becomes sin⁻¹, cos becomes cos⁻¹, tan becomes tan⁻¹. This doubles the available functions without cluttering the interface.

6

Memory Operations

Use the memory row (mc, m+, m-, mr) to store values:
m+ — Add current value to memory.
m- — Subtract current value from memory.
mr — Recall the stored memory value.
mc — Clear the memory.

7

Viewing History

Swipe up from the result area or tap the history icon to open the history panel. Your past calculations are grouped by date. Tap any entry to load it back into the calculator. Swipe left to delete an entry. Long-press to copy the expression, result, or delete.

8

Editing History

Tap Edit in the history panel to enter multi-select mode. Select individual entries with checkboxes, then choose Delete Selected or Delete All to clear history. Tap Done to exit edit mode.

9

Tips & Tricks

Use the Rand button for quick random numbers. The EE button enters scientific notation (e.g., 5 EE 3 = 5×10³). For quick constants, tap π or e to insert them directly into your expression. The backspace button (⌫) removes the last digit or character.
